Victoria Mini-Trip: JBI Cafe (Colonial Cafe?)

Time for breakfast! The place we were staying at had a cafe connected to it, and we decided to drop by to see how things were. Welcome to JBI Cafe.

The menu was simple and straight-forward, so we went right on ahead with their Mediterranean Skillet. Two decently poached eggs over onions, feta, green peppers, tomatoes, and a whole mess of other this and that's that I cannot quite remember. I remember enjoying this though, and if they pulled off a nicely runny poached egg, that's good enough for me.
The toast was half rye half whole wheat, and heavily buttered (should I sigh happily or be concerned of a heart attack? Either way. Simple, yummy.)

We also ordered two pieces of french toast, which really amounted to something more like 5 pieces when we received it. These pieces of toast were huge. That piece you see there is as long as my forearm. But oh so sweet, and fluffy and eggy, complete with crispy edges. While I prefer a crispier french toast (although the edges were done well enough for me), my sister loved the pillow...iness... of the texture.

Finally, my brother had a standard eggs bacon and hashbrowns with toast. A good solid standard. Nothing special or extraordinary, but it did it's job.

Overall, I thought breakfast here was nice. Nothing to blow you away, but that's not it's intent anyways. Service was a nice refresher (especially compared to the night we had previously), coffee was kept full and stomachs were happy.
